King's Bay is a superb semi-private 3301-yard, 9-hole golf course, 10 minutes north of scenic Port Perry, near the town of Seagrave, off Simcoe Road North. Designed by golf course architect Kevin Holmes, King's Bay opened its doors to the public in October 2001. Nestled along the shorelines of Lake Scugog and the Nonquon River, King's Bay is one of the finest new 9-hole designs in Ontario. The golf course has plenty of character epitomized by numerous water hazards and troublesome waste bunkers that adorn many of the fairways. The course layout is another unique feature as there are three par 3's, three par 4's, and three par 5's. Playing surfaces are bent grass including the fairways with tall fescue grasses in outlying areas. King's Bay is a golf course that can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels and presents a formidable test for those accomplished few, who dare tackle the course from the back tees. Directions: Thickson Road north to Highway 7 & 12. Turn right heading north on Highway 7 & 12 to Highway 7A. Turn right heading northeast on Highway 7A through Port Perry via Queen Street (straight through at the fork) to Scugog County Road 2. Turn left on Scugog County Road 2 heading north to Seagrave and turn right on River Street. Follow the signs on River Street to the very end.
